Protea

Protea plants were named after a Greek god. These plants are bright and exotic plants that have beautiful blooms. They are native to tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world.

Protea plants are also called sugarbushes. They are a large genus of flowering plants. All of the plants in the genus are similar in color in the blossoms and the greenery. These plants are wonderful in flower arrangements and in bouquets.

Protea plants can be purchased online and in local stores. If they are purchased online they may be plants that were grown in a tropical location. For the plants that are purchased in a non-tropical location, they are probably greenhouse grown.
